Scripture (the Holy Bible): Scripture is “breathed-out by God” and is inerrant, infallible, and authoritative for life and practice.
God: One God, creator and sustainer of everything that exists. God exists in three persons (Trinity): Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God the Father: Begins and ends all things according to His own purpose and grace; sovereign over all things, and spiritual Father of all believers.
God the Son: The eternally pre-existent Son and Word of God; incarnate by virgin birth; fully God and fully man; lived a sinless life and died as sacrifice for our sins, was buried, rose again, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father.
God the Holy Spirit: Coming forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. He indwells every believer in Christ and He is the abiding helper, teacher, and guide.
Man: Created in the image and likeness of God to know, glorify, worship and enjoy Him forever; willfully disobeyed God which separated man from God and brought all mankind to eternal death. Man, in his fallen state, is totally corrupt and is unable to please God.
Salvation from the penalty and power of sin: A free gift by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, to the glory of God alone.
Sanctification: Becoming conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ through the active work of the Holy Spirit.
Eternal Security: Every true believer is absolutely secure in the permanency of their salvation, and will neither totally nor finally fall away or be removed from their converted state.
Marriage: As the foundation of society; the uniting of one man and one woman in a lifetime commitment.
The Church: Jesus Christ is the head; not a building nor an institution but composed of all people who have received salvation.
The Sanctity of Human Life: Sacred and is created by God in His image; is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death.
Last Things: All who have placed their faith and trust in the saving work of The Lord Jesus Christ are declared righteous while all others are declared wicked. The end of the world is approaching and on the last day Christ will descend from heaven; raise the dead from the grave and a final separation will take place; the wicked to be punished, and the righteous to experience endless joy.

David was born in University Park but as soon as he could, he started traveling. With a love for the ocean and surfing, David traveled to 40 countries. During this time, he fell in love with teaching the gospel and the people of developing countries. In between trips he served as volunteer staff at Calvary Chapel Westside in Maui, Hawaii where he grew in the studying of God’s word. More recently he has been blessed with the task of being a husband to Alyssa Girvin and father to Piper Girvin. David’s current mission is to build a radical discipleship culture while developing “tent making” leaders to shift the church from a consumer-focused body to a body of people who sacrificially love their community and the world, while building life altering ministries of their own.
